Adjust Lighting
- Find the Bright Spots: Move your plants closer to windows for maximum sunlight. East or south-facing windows work best.
- Supplement with Grow Lights: If natural light is limited, consider a grow light to give them the extra boost they need.
Water Less
- Check the Soil First: Water only when the top 1-2 inches are dry. Cooler weather means slower growth, so they’ll need less hydration.
- Use Room Temperature Water: Avoid cold water, which can shock your plants.
- Moisture Meter: Try our moisture meter to check on the moisture of the soil. This will help you know when to water!
Increase Humidity
- Mist Regularly: Humidity-loving plants like ferns will benefit from occasional misting.
- Try a Humidity Tray: Place a shallow water-filled tray with pebbles under your plants to naturally boost humidity.
Hold Off on Fertilizing
- Pause Feeding: With slower growth in fall, most plants won’t need extra nutrients until spring.
